Akari Energy was founded in 2008 in Houston Texas. Akari has over 15 years of providing unique solar power solutions for commercial, industrial, and utility customers throughout North America. Key long term clients include institutions, manufacturers, and utilities.
The utility-scale development includes projects in Texas, Oregon, Washington State, New Mexico, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, and New Jersey.
Akari Energy is MBE certified and licensed in western, central, and eastern states to help facilitate permitting in those areas.

Vance Nobe is President, CEO and Founder of Akari Energy which was established in 2008 in Houston, Texas. With over 15 years of experience, Vance Nobe has built up Akari Energy as a solar power developer, with projects throughout the United States. His combination of management, sales, and technical expertise has driven Akari Energy’s growth and profitability over the years.
Vance Nobe is a qualifier for his company’s General Contractor license in New Mexico, Washington State, Oregon, Minnesota, and Pennsylvania.
Vance Nobe is also certified by the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) as a solar PV Installation Professional.
Traveling extensively throughout the world, Vance has built key client relationships in the United States, Latin America, Asia and Europe. As a solar power subject-matter-expert, he is regularly invited to speak at technical conferences and to international audiences. Vance Nobe has developed key relationships with landowners and regulatory entities through the United States.

Prior to founding Akari Energy, Vance Nobe was Vice President at Lockton Houston. Prior to Lockton, Vance Nobe worked at FM Global initially in Engineering, moving up to sales and underwriting.
He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Emphasis, from the California Polytechnic University at Pomona California. Prior to his engineering studies, while he attended high school, he also attended UC Berkeley in Biophysics under the Accelerated High School Student Program. He also has a MIT Sloan Certificate in Blockchain Technology.
Vance Nobe is a published photographer for his pictures of the Totonac burial sites in central Mexico. These photos are now in two academic textbooks, which were the first ever published pictures of these tombs. Also, he was on an episode of Animal Planet: Animal Cops Houston, for his adoption of a canine in dire need.
